Common questions
Do I need any experience?
None at all. Our workshops are built to start from zero, and most people who turn up have never touched security before. Come curious; we'll handle the rest.
What does it cost to join?
The Discord is free and open — jump in any time. Official membership runs through the Brunel Students' Union, and our events are free for members.
When and where do you meet?
During term time, on campus at Brunel University London in Uxbridge. Workshops run weekly and CTFs roughly monthly — exact rooms and times are posted in the Discord each week.
Can a company sponsor or partner with the society?
Yes — we'd love to talk. Drop us an email with what you have in mind, whether it's a talk, a workshop, a CTF challenge or longer-term sponsorship.
I found a security issue on this site. Where do I report it?
Nice. That's exactly the spirit. Email the details to cybersec@brunel.ac.uk (or bring them to a workshop) and we'll take a look — responsible disclosure always welcome.
Still stuck?
If your question isn't here, just ask in the Discord — someone on the committee will pick it up.
